We promise we won’t tell if you decide to skip work Monday 1st May to come join us for this very special event- an Italian long lunch, or more specifically Irpinian, a region in Campagnia featuring the wines of one of the most delicious natural winemakers of Italy, Cantina Giardino. Bringing with them a selection of their local varieties, including coda di volpe, falanghina, fiano, greco and aglianico, grown with the highest respect to agriculture, vinified without additions and bottled without preservatives. We have a bus from Hobart at a small extra fee which means you can imbibe and ride….

Of equal importance the food will be cooked by chefs Anita Di Pietro from Antica Trattoria Di Pietro & Roberto De Filippis from Vineria La Posta. Anita Di Pietro and her family are committed to preserving local dishes, originally peasant food, “cucina povera” based traditions and valuing local products, in 2020 Antica Trattoria Di Pietro was awarded “Best Regional Italian Cuisine” by Slow Food Osterie d’Italia. Roberta is the chef/owner at Irpinian wine bar Vineria La Posta, having grown up in his family restaurant La Pergola di Gesualdo, an iconic and historical Irpinian restaurant.
